The Voice Australia returned to Channel Seven on Sunday, August 2, 2026, kicking off Season 15’s Blind Auditions with a world-first twist: pop star Tones and I is secretly stationed in a backstage “surveillance room,” watching every audition unseen by coaches Kate Miller-Heidke, Ronan Keating, Richard Marx and Melanie C.
If an artist fails to turn a chair but impresses her anyway, Tones and I can pull them aside and give them a second shot at the Blinds under Team Tones.

Josh McCauley’s four-chair audition triggered a heavy block battle between Kate Miller-Heidke and Melanie C, but the reporting so far is inconsistent on which coach he ultimately picked — I’ve left this unconfirmed rather than guess.
Episode-by-episode highlights
Episode 1 (Sunday, August 2): The premiere delivered three four-chair turns in one night — Daisha Auda, Tommy Novak and Josh McCauley all had every coach spin around.
The biggest emotional beat, though, belonged to the new twist: Red Roy got zero chairs for his cover of “APT.,” only to be secretly scooped up by Tones and I for the show’s first-ever “surveillance room” save.
Episode 2: Taylor Beadle-Williams opened the night with a four-chair turn on Raye’s “Where Is My Husband!” and a standing ovation, before Charlotte June’s tearful tribute to her mother — who lives with early-onset dementia — on Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work” turned every chair and visibly moved Richard Marx and Kate Miller-Heidke to tears.
Jack Hughes picked up Team Melanie C with a Bon Jovi cover, and Tones and I handed out her second save of the season to Jamie Koul.
